"Lotola" is a concept inspired by the blooming of lotus. My approach is to create a set of tableware that can combine as a form of blooming lotus and separate into four pieces.

Objectives

Social dining

Social gatherings and dining have become extremely popular worldwide due to the reduction of COVID-19. One of the prevalent issues people face with social groups is that the table is often big enough to put their food and their table accessories when they are alone/with each other, but as soon as their friends come over, it becomes very crowded

My Insight

Dining Organization

Aesthetically appealing tableware will always make the whole dining event more enjoyable. However, it is always odd when your beautiful tableware is an entirely different style than your candle holder or centerpiece. Therefore, I want to create a series of unified products of one type that serve all dining functions.

Inspiration
Blooming of lotus
The blooming of a lotus flower is a beautiful and significant event. The first stage of the flowering lotus begins with tiny, tightly closed buds. Then, as the buds reach their full size, they slowly start to open, revealing beautiful petals arranged in a spiral pattern.
